Remembering 9/11 and Operation Boatlift

Today on the Ship Report Podcast we remember 9/11 – and a courageous and spontaneous effort by New York City mariners that saved many lives on that awful day. The Coast Guard called it “Operation Boatlift.” Boaters of all stripes pitched in and rescued half a million people stranded at the bottom of Manhattan island when the towers fell.
