A “dead” containership is towed to Portland
Aug 18, 2022When a big ship loses propulsion, it needs help. That was the case this weekend when a containership lost power to its propeller at sea off the mouth of the Columbia. Salvage crews, the US Coast Guard and bar and river pilots worked together to get the ship safely to the shipyard in Portland. We’ll talk about how that’s done.
