This week the U.S. Coast Guard issued a warning to their personnel: beware of using products that contain CBD, a non-psychoactive compound derived from marijuana, used for pain relief and other benefits. Experts warn that even trace amounts of THC in such products can cause a positive result on a drug test. Since marijuana is illegal under federal law, this can lead to mandatory suspension and other unwanted, career ending consequences.
