Today, the story of a cargo ship anchored off Longview here on the Columbia, where some of the crew members had been working on board for more than a year, way beyond the maximum length of work they agreed to under their contracts. The US Coast Guard helped them get home, but they had to detain the ship in port here, in order to get the overseas owners to comply.
